  • Also, there are many versions of the creation story. This story happens to be the one that makes the most sense to us.
  • There were no other myths we could find besides these. We hope this presentation doesn't last too shortly.

Creation Story

The five suns

The First Sun

  • The first element is the earth. Tezcatlipoca was a sacrifice for energy for the planet he became half the sun

the second sun

  • The second element was air. Quetzalcoat controlled the area. When humans were created, Quetzatlcoat killed them in a tornado.

the third sun

  • Tlaloc was an early creation of the gods. He made it rain fire and it destroyed that version of the earth.

the Fourth Sun

  • The gods made Tlaloc's sister be the sun. She was Coatlicue. She was (extremely) jealous so Quetzalcoatl struck down the sun it poured rain every were and everything was destroyed.

THe fifth sun

  • A proud god named Tecucizrecatl offered to be the new sun, but the other gods preferred Nanahuatzin. A great fire was built, but Tecucizrecatl was afraid to jump, so Nanahuatzin went in. Tecucizrecatl became jealous and went chasing after him. The gods threw a rabbit in Tecucizrecatl's face and Tecucizrecatl became the moon

Timeline

  • Pre-history: The first sun is created
  • Prior to 2000 b.c., but after pre-hitory: the fifth sun is created
