RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACTIONS
In 1999 Belfort pled guilty to security fraud and money laundering.
He cooperated with them to shorten his time.
He was sentenced to four years in prison in 2003.
He was fined 110 million dollars.
He only served 22 months in jail.

His wife at the time divorced him.
He had to sell his home.
Lost most of his cars, and money he had.
Had to do time.

LIFE SINCE THEN
In 2008 he wrote a book about his experiences, "The Wolf of Wall Street"
The following year he released another book, "Catching the Wolf of Wall Street"
In 2013 they made "The Wolf of Wall Street" into a movie.
He currently lives in Los Angeles.
He now operates his own company that provides training for sales and marketing.
