The significance of ANZAC is that the forces from New Zealand and Australia

New Zealand played an big role in WWI they had over 100,000 soldiers
War started on the 28th July 1914 and lasted until 11th of November 1918

The poppies are symbolised to remember the fallen and still standing soldiers
I heard that poppies were made from the blood of the fallen soldier

We have two services held one called the dawn services which is at 6:00 am
second one at 9:15 am and we wear poppies
