WHAT DOES LSD DO?

  • LSD is a hallucinogenic drug in the form of a lysergic acid.
  • The liquid is soaked into stamps, microdots, or gelatin squares.
  • The consumer takes LSD by placing the drug on his/her tongue.
  • Users experience an extreme high, or LSD trip, for about 12 hours.

RISKS OF LSD

  • Users may experience loss of appetite, sleeplessness, anxiety, or depression
  • Emotional effects can be varied, unpredictable, and dangerous
  • All of the senses are distorted, as vision becomes abstract
  • Users may claim to "hear colors" or "see sounds"
  • Terrifying flashbacks may be induced

A BAD TRIP

  • A bad trip is the common term used for an LSD trip with horrifying results
  • Once a bad trip is begun, the effects cannot be reversed
  • Judgment and perception of dangers is impaired
  • Can result in permanent chemical psychosis
