Human Development Index
•a composite statistic of life expectancy, education, and income indices used to rank countries into four tiers of human development.
GDP
the market value of all officially recognized final goods and services produced within a country in a year, or other given period of time.
GDP Per Capia
A measure of the total output of a country that takes the gross domestic product (GDP) and divides it by the number of people in the country.
Infant Mortality
•The death of children under the age of one year.
Literacy
•The ability to read and write
Primary Economic Activity
•A practice that involves the extraction of natural resources from the earth.
Secondary Economic Activity
•Mainly the production and assembly of goods from raw materials.
Tertiary Economic Activity
•Has to do with services to businesses and consumers
Quarternary Economic Activities
•services involving complex processing and handling of information: education and research, engineering, IT
specialist, etc.
