A- AZTEC
The aztec civilization, one of the last great native civilizations, were extremely advanced and had derived a complex agricultural system. The Aztec had also developed a calendar that had a 365 day cycle, much like the modern day versions.

B- BUBONIC PLAGUE
A plague that wiped out about a third of the population. Spread through rats on ships.

C- CHURCHILL
Winston Churchill was a british prime minister. He rallied british troops and, after the pearl harbor bombing, worked with America and Russia to defeat the axis powers.

D- DUST BOWL
The dust bowl was an area of dry land due to a string of severe dust storms during the depression. The period lasted for eight years and impacted the south-western plains of America and some of Canada.

E- EINSTEIN
Einstein was an influential physicist of the early and mid 20th century. After world war two he became a figure in the new world government.

F- FRANKLIN
Benjamin franklin was the french ambassador for america, and is also credited as one of the founding fathers. He also made many scientific advances such as working with electricity.

G- GANDHI
Gandhi was an advocate during the Indian independence movement. He convinced the indian peoples to fight back using civil disobedience instead of blatant attacks.

H- HITLER
Füher of Germany after world war one. Lead the Nazi party, and implimented the Holocaust.

I- IRISH POTATO FAMINE
The irish potato famine began in 1845, and decimated the crop fields. The irish fled the country causing the immigration levels to rise to exponential levels.

J- JOAN OF ARC
Common girl who took control of the french army and lead to victory in the battle of Orleans. gave the french hope that they could win the war.

K- KHAN
Genghis Khan was a Mongolian warrior. Helped spread religion, keep the silk road safe, and possibly began black plague.

L- LABOR UNIONS
The labor union began during the industrial revolution in England. Due to a surplus of workers who needed to be represented the unions were forged and influenced many of the modern forces today.

M- MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
Dr. King was a civil rights activist and one of the major contributors to the freedom rights movement.

N- NEOLITHIC
The neolithic revolution provided an alternative to farming in the form of agriculture.

O- OCCUPY WALL STREET
The occupation of wall street was an activists rights movement made to bring attention to the "economic differences of the developed world." Many other countries looked at this as an opportunity to voice the opinions of their own legislative and economic difficulties.

P- PRIPYAT
Pripyat was a city directly outside of Chernobyl that still stands uninhabited due to the intense radiation that came from the plant. Scientist and and brave explorers often visit the abandoned town study how radiation effects the flora and fauna surrounding it.

Q- QUEEN ELIZABETH 1
The great queen Elizabeth ruled between 1558-1603. Elizabeth ended the war with France, re-established the Church of England, and defeated he spanish armada.

R- RUSSIAN REVOLUTION
The Russian revolution came about after the first great war. The Russian people overthrew the czar and elected Lenin to lead them into what they believed would be a brighter future.

S-STALIN
Joseph stalin was a Soviet dictator. Stalin pushed agriculture causing a famine that killed many. He helped to defeat nazism during work war two.

T- TESLA
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian inventor who created the Tesla coil. He also helped with other projects still used today such as the rotating magnetic field.

U- UNDERGROUND RAILROAD
The underground railroad was a system of safe houses that many slaves used to escape north to freedom. Due to the escape of many eventual influential people slavery in many countries was able to be abolished.

V- VICTORIA
Queen Victoria was the queen during the "Age of industrialization". During her reign the british empire expanded to all corners of the earth and created an empire "on which the sun would never set."

W- WARSAW PACT
The war saw pact was a treaty that was supposed to keep much of eastern Europe user Soviet rule. It was claimed that they signed the treaty to respond to the creation of the NATO by the United States.

X- XERXES 1
Xerxes was the ruler of the persian empire. He launched several attempts to conquer the greeks before a group of persian nobles killed him.

Y- YALTA CONFERENCE
The Yalta conference was to decide how Europe was to be divided up. The conference divided Germany into four sections, created democratic countries,expanded the soviet rule to Poland.

Z- ZIONIST
Zionists were supporters of jewish rights. These people often hid jewish peoples from the nazi party by hiding them in their homes.
