• Charles Ives later started his own insurance business while composing
• Ives went on to attend Yale University where he studied under Horatio Parker.
• Near the start of his schooling Ives was emotionally crushed by the death of
• his father from a stroke

• Ives died on May 19, 1954, in New York City.
• Ives also died of a stroke.
