I is for Ignite
Montag's interest to know about books and being able to read and understand them ignites when he finds Faber. Montag wants to be able to understand books and Faber is teaching him how to. Montag is convinced that books are more than just words, and they make people feel things, and he wants to understand why.

J is for Jejune
Mildred, Montag's wife, is a boring, dry person. She never does anything else but watch the "family" or go for extremely fast car rides. Mildred doesn't think, she doesn't even live, she goes on every day lacking significance.

K is for Knave
Captain Beatty is a knave. He says he knows nothing about books or the past, but he can quote from books and give a whole speech about how the society came to be. He doesn't tell Montag the truth about him knowing that he has books. Captain Beatty is a man with many secrets and keeps certain things hidden.

L is for Life
People in Montag's day don't know the meaning of life. They overdose on pills, play chicken for fun, and jump off buildings when there sad. They don't even have funerals to acknowledge the memory and life of a person. There is no living in not thinking and going on day by day doing the same thing. That's just being another piece of matter in the never ending universe.

M is for Metamorphosis
Guy Montag, a firefighter who burns books for a living suddenly wants to know all about books. He tries to read and comprehend them but he just can't seem to understand. The books make Montag think, but not just about books. About life and happiness and the past.
The books completely change Guy Montag.

N is for Nostalogic
Faber is a very nostalgic person. He remembers the good days, when books where legal, and everyone was different. Faber wants to be able to read books again. He longs for the past.

O is for Oblivious
Mildred's friends are oblivious to things in life. They don't know the importance and greatness of things in life, like their husbands and children. Husbands and children are supposed to bring happiness and joy into your lives, but Mildred's friends could honestly care less about either. Her friends have each gone through multiple husbands and compare their children to doing the laundry. They are oblivious to loving and caring.

P is for Power
Montag and Faber want to place books in the firefighter's homes so they can see what it's like to get there house burned down. Faber and Montag have the power to make a change and make a statement. Montag and Faber have the power to take away the power from the firefighters and make a difference.

Q is for Quest
Montag is on a quest to change, and become a better person. He's on a quest to find out about books, and to seek knowledge, and to be able to think. Montag doesn't want to be just like everyone else, he wants to be different.
