PROCEDURE
A yardstick is affixed to a telescoping tripod or the wall at the level of the patient
Prior to the reach the yardstick is leveled so that it is horizontal to the floor
Lift arm to shoulder height; reach as far forward as possible
No movement of feet, must try to stay alongside yardstick (can be discarded)
Patients use their best strategies to accomplish these tasks

Patient is given the command to lean as far back as they can.
Patients use their arm of choice for: forward and back measurements.
Respective arms are used for right and left reach.
Index fingers are measured for final measurements
Repeated.
