  • Ares-Mars: God of War, raised by wolves
  • Diana-Artemis: Moon Goddess
  • Apollo- God of the sun
  • Hades- Pluto: God of Death

carried water to the nimes in Roman times.

Cladius

  • Became emperor when the mad guard murdered the emperor at the time
  • when he first took over the people of Rome thought he was a great fool, but he ended up as a good ruler

Augustus

  • In 30 BCE, he became the first emperor of Rome.
  • when he first ruled over the people they went on killing sprees so he had to restore the out-ward Facade of free Public

Marcus Aurelius

  • he wrote a book of philosophy
  • was thought as a very clever man.
  • his son went mad, and went on a murder spree
  • built up borders to protect the people

Trajan

  • He came from Spain and was the first non-Roman to be emperor
  • was a great general
  • His accomplishments of victories and increase of territory are on the Trajan's colomn in Rome

Nero

  • Adopted son of Claudius
  • some say his Mother poisoned his Father so he could become Ruler

Hadrian

  • Trajan's adopted son
  • toured around cities on his reign
  • he thought it was too big to rule so he abandoned his people and fled Rome
  • people thought of him as "an angel" because he caused no wars

Rome's Government

  • 3 Branches that divided the government in Rome
  • Oldest was the Senate
  • Then the Assembly
  • Lastly, the Consuls

Roman Baths

  • Water was always supplied by the Aqueducts
  • More than likely, the baths were large
  • The Emperor Diocletian set up a Bath larger than football field

Roman Twins

  • Romulus and Remus were the twin brothers and main characters of Rome's foundation myth.
  • They were saved by a series of miraculous interventions, the river carried them to safety, a she-wolf found and suckled them, and a woodpecker fed them

Feronia

  • In ancient Roman religion, Feronia was a goddess associated with wildlife, fertility, health and abundance. She was especially honored among plebians and freedmen. Her festival, the Feroniae, was November 13, in with Fortuna Primigenia; both were goddesses of Praeneste.

Minerva

  • The Roman Goddess of Goddess of poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, weaving, crafts and magic.
  • Minerva emerged, a whole adult, and bearing her mother's weapons and armor. From the 2nd century BC onwards, the Romans equated her with the Greek goddess Athena
