OUTCOME OF PEARL HARBOR

  • The bombing on Pearl Harbor was started because the U.S decided to cut ties with Japan
  • Japan was not happy about it
  • Japan attacked by Japan's Air Force team
  • The bombing ended with thousands of people dying and the Hawaii Oahu island in ruins

  • It was a surprise attack that no one was prepared for.
  • Pear harbors defense was still new when they were attacked
  • It was a hard battle
  • Many lives were lost

  • Japan and the United States were involved
  • Pearl Harbor battle

  • December 7, 1941
  • United States decided to stop trading with Japan
  • By Japan's Air Force

INJURED AND KILLED IN BATTLE

  • Navy and marine corps were a total of 2896
  • The Japanese lost 29 planes over Oahu
  • 779 were wounded
  • The deaths and injured people were spread out through out days and nights

WEAPONS USED IN BATTLE

  • Bombs
  • Machine guns
  • Torpedoes 20 millimeter cannons
  • Dive bombers

CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE BATTLE

  • We could have changed the outcome by knowing more about the new technology we were using
  • We could have entered the war sooner
  • We could have helped with the war more
  • Been more prepared for things

MITS

  • The battle lasted 2 hours
  • 1000 soldiers were wounded
  • More than 2000 died
  • The bombing gave the result of the U.S joining WW2
