Blended/Stepfamily
A STEPFAMILY IS FORMED WHEN TWO FAMILIES UNITE THROUGH MARRIAGE. This is becoming more common these days. (Ex: The Brady Bunch)

Extended family:
A FAMILY IN WHICH SEVERAL GENERATIONS COME TOGETHER AND LIVE UNDER ONE ROOF, an example is an elderly grandma coming to live with her daughter and so on. (TV ex: Full House)

Foster Family:
A family who holds children waiting to be adopted; sometimes the foster parents end up adopting the children and they become an adoptive family. (Ex: The Fosters)

Nuclear family:
A FAMILY CONSISTING OF A MOM, DAD, & CHILDREN. This used to be the norm but now the numbers of nuclear families are dropping off like flies! (TV EX: The Bill Cosby Show)

Single parent families:
A single parent family is a family with a child but only one parent. There are many different scenarios of single-parent families: a divorced family, a parent has died/left, etc…

CHILDLESS FAMILY/COUPLE

A COUPLE WITHOUT CHILDREN; WETHER THEY WANT ONE OR NOT

Adoptive family:
A FAMILY WHO ADOPTS ANOTHER INTO THEIR FAMILY (TV ex: Modern family)
