The swamp is deep.
The monsters creep.
The kids have been scared,
And now they can't sleep.

The creatures are muddy.
The grass is not green.
The sun is not sunny.

In the swamps foggy haze.
They were all so stunned!
They'll be screaming for days.

And Courtney sat there-
With a grin and a smirk.

That the rumours were true.
