WHAT DID THE NRA DO AND WHY WAS IT CREATED?

  • It helped businesses to maintain fair comptition.
  • It was created to try to help recover a nation from the Great Depression, and to help those needing jobs.
  • The president was to approve the codes only if the submitting organization did not restrict membership.

WHAT WAS THE AFFECT AND BENEFIT OF THE NRA?

  • The affect of the administration was empowered to make voluntary agreements dealing with hours of work, rates of pay, and the fixing of prices.
  • The Benefit was after the Great Depression it made more jobs because people were broke.

WAS IT CONSIDERED SUCCESSFUL?

  • The NRA was not considered successful because in 1934 they weren't doing well.
  • Closed in 1935.

IS IT STILL AROUND TODAY?

  • No, the National Recovery Administration failed partially due to the leader Hugh Johnson.
