Some art works actually move while others attempt to give the impression of movement. Some are mobiles that are carefully balanced so that air movement in the room causes them to move.

MOVEMENT IS IMPLIED

Some artworks don’t actually move but movement is implied. The artist uses a variety of devices to imply that a part of the composition has moved or is moving. One way is to show the same figure in different poses or from different views throughout the composition.

FUZZY OUTLINE

mimic the viewer’s everyday visual experience. When objects move through our field of vision quickly, we do not get a clear mental picture of them which implies movement.
