The first event was the French and Indian war from 1754 to 1763. The cause of the war was the British wanting to expand in French territory. The French did not want that to happen. That meant it was war time.

Our second event is the Sugar act, which happened in 1764. The Sugar act was when the colonists were taxed on sugar and drinks.

The stamp act is our third event that started in 1765. The stamp act was when King George the third taxed newspapers. Every time people payed the tax they got a stamp saying they payed the tax.

The Boston Massacre
was an event that happened in 1770. It was when a man started yelling out insults to a British soldier. More men came and wanted to stop the fight. Some British soldiers came and they started shooting at the men.

The tea act started when King George the third forced people to pay taxes on tea. This happened in 1773.

The Boston tea party was
in 1773. There was a protest against the tea act. Some colonists dressed up as Indians and they went onto a ship. They went to the Boston Harbor and dumped the tea into the Harbor.

The last event that we have for you today is when Paul Revere rode into Lexington. He rode there on April 18, 1775 to warn the people that the British were coming.
