K- ARTICLES OF CONFEDERATION

  • I- The articles were written to give the colonies some sense of a unified government.
  • S- The Articles of Confederation became effective on March 1, 1781, after all thirteen states had ratified them.

K- GEORGIA CONSTITUTION ( 1777 )

  • I- The Constitution of the State of Georgia is the governing document of the state of Georgia.
  • S- It outlines the three branches of government.

K- CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION

  • I- A gathering for the purpose of writing a new constitution or revising an existing constitution.
  • S- The Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia met between May and September of 1787.

K- RATIFICATION ( RATIFY )

  • I- The process by which the entire document was to become effective.
  • S- It required that conventions of nine of the thirteen original states ratify the constitution.
