PRESENTATION OUTLINE
THE ODYSSEY FINAL PROJECT
In this picture it shows Penelope carrying telemachus. Odysseus it's next to her. His face expression shows that he's very happy their baby boy is now born. This scene demonstrates when Telemachus is being born before Odysseus leaves to the war.
In this picture Odysseus is leaving to the trojan war. But Penelope doesn't want to leave him. And he's trying to leave but she doesn't let go of Odysseus leg. Penelope isn't happy. And Odysseus wishes that he can stay but he has to go.
This picture describes when Odysseus and his men are on their way to the war. They look happy because they are ready to win vs. Troy. They have confident in themselves. On this scene it shows brave men ready to fight.
This picture is about Odysseus and his men fighting in the Trojan war. The trojan war started because they wanted to get the wife Helen that they stole. And they started it from the husband named Manelaus. And this picture describes the men fighting for Manelaus wife. They want to get his wife as soon as they can so they have to fight all the men that come in their way.
This picture describes the scene of when Odysseus and his men landed on the cyclops island. The pictures describes Odysseus plan which was staving the cyclops eye in order to escape from his home.
In this picture it shows Odysseus trapped in Circes island. He is trapped in there for years. His men become pigs. And they have to listen to circes rules since they are in her island. Lastly Circe let's them free and tell Odysseus to go to the land of the dead if he wants to know his future.
This picture represents the land of the dead. That is where Odysseus goes to talk to the blind prophet, Teiresias. Teiresias was the one to tell them his future and all the things he will go thru in order to get back to Ithica.
This picture also represents when Odysseus is in the land of the dead and he sees his mom. As you can see Odysseus is really sad because he just found out his mom is dead. And that makes him weaker. He wishes that he could've helped before she died.
In this picture it shows the sirens trying to get attention from Odysseus and his men. But Odysseus knows that they just want to kill them and take their things. Odysseus tries to find a way to get rid of them so they kept sailing to move away. But the sirens don't notice so they left the sirens. The sirens are very loud and they like to attract men with their voices.
In this picture it shows Scylla looking for a way to trap the guys. She thinks that she can trap them but its not going to happen. She finds a way for them to get in the tramp but Odysseus and his men know whats going on. And Charybdis thinks that if they fall in the water then they can be able to fall in there and she can grab them. Odysseus knows who Scylla & Charybdis are.
In this picture you see two sheeps eating grass.This picture represents the cattle of the sun god. The cattle was a challenge for Odysseus and his men because they didn't eat for over a month. This scene represent the weaknesses and the temptation they had to eat the cattle. And if the men were to eat the cattle they will get punished.
This picture has to do with a god called Calypso. Calypso kept Odysseus captive for a very long time, she also loved him and wanted him to stay there with her. Luckily she let him free or else her island was going to get destroyed.
Odyssesus son thinks that his dad is dead. In this picture it shows Odysseus and Telemachus re uniting. At first Telemachus doesn't think thats him. But odysseus convinces him that its him and that he has to look like a begger because they want to take over ithica. Telemachus is so happy that his father is back. He tries to tell the people but they don't believe him.
In this picture it shows Odysseus and the suitors doing the challenge of the bow & arrow. They don't know that its Odysseus yet,but when he shoots up the arrow they know its him because nobody does it like him. He then shot it and the suitors were angry because they wanted to be with Penelope. Odysseus then started killing the suitors all together. Odysseus and Telemachus were both are working together to kill them all.At the end they killed all the men and Odysseus finally re united with Penelope.
In this picture it shows Odysseus and penelope reuniting. They are so happy because she really didnt want to choose another husband. Odyssesus was also very happy that she didn't, and that he won the bow and arrow challenge. He loves her and he's glad that she hasn't moved on.
