TOTAL RECALL

• Blue Bell's cookie dough ice cream had contained listeria
• Recalled every last bin of ice cream to keep people safe.

LISTERIA

• Deadly bacterial food poisoning.
• Found in soil, water and animals.
• Also present in raw milk.

EFFECTS TO THE PUBLIC

• 3 deaths and several illnesses in Kansas have been linked to them.
• Fans of Blue Bell have to throw out any ice cream they have.

It is not yet known how the bacteria came around.

SOLVING THE PROBLEM

• After the recall, they have started looking through each bin, trying to find how the listeria entered the ice cream.
