IS THE ASPECT OF ART THAT IS CAUSED BY THE REFLECTION OF LIGHT

ATMOSPHERIC COLOR

CREATES THE IMPRESSION OF TIME OF DAY/SPECIFIC WEATHER CONDITIONS.

Arbitrary color

USED FOR PURELY EMOTIONAL/AESTHETIC REASONS(LOCAL COLOR NOT RELATED)

COLOR WHEEL

is organized to show the theoretical relationship between hues

PRIMARY HUES

are the hues from which all other hues are mixed.

Secondary hues

CAN BE MADE BY MIXING EQUAL AMOUNTS OF TWO PRIMARY HUES.

Intermediate hues

are created by mixing unequal amounts of any two primaries.

HUE

IT IS THE ASPECT THAT DISTINGUISHES ON PIGMENT FROM ANOTHER

WARM HUES

come forward and are associated with warm or hot objects.

COOL HUES

recede and are associated with cool things such as water or grass.

refers to the darkness or lightness of a color.
