Sweet & Sour Sauce
-Originated in Asia.
-Sweet & Sour Meatballs
-Created by the Chinese province of Hunan when a weak vinegar & sugar mixture was created.
-Popular use in fish, meat, & vegetable dishes.

PEANUT SAUCE

  • Originated in Indonesia
  • Chicken Sate with Peanut Sauce
  • Made from ground, roasted, or fried peanuts
  • It's one of the main characteristics of Indonesian cuisine.
  • Goes well with meat and vegetables.

MARINARA SAUCE

  • Originated from Naples.
  • Mussels Marinara
  • Italians refer to marinara sauce only associated with other dishes.
  • It is occasionally sweeted with a dash of red wine.
  • Apart of the Italian Culture.

TARTAR SAUCE

  • Originated from Europe
  • Tartar sauce with fried fish
  • Typically of a rough consistency
  • Often used as a condiment with seafood dishes
  • The sauce has been found in cookbooks since the 19th century

HOLLANDAISE SAUCE

  • Originated in France
  • Eggs Benedict
  • The first date to when the sauce appeared was 1593.
  • Named because supposedly it mimicked a Dutch sauce, for the king of the Netherlands.
  • Usually cooked with steamed vegetables.
