More people moved to cities and skycrapers were built

Sacco and Vanzetti were Italians inmigrants who were inactive anarchits and were executed because of this

The Ku Klux Klan was a white movement that used violence againt black people

Prohibition was a period where alcoholic drinks were banned

The 30s

Due to speculation and the Wall Street Crash lots of people lost their money or became unemployed

Overfarming and drought caused a dust bowl that drove farmers off their land

Hoovervilles were shanty towns where migrants looking for jobs lived

In 1932 Franklin D. Roosevelt, a democrat, was chosen as president

Thanks to the New Deal many aspects of the Great Depression were improved, for example, new jobs for the unskilled were created
