BILL CLINTON

He was impeached because of perjury and because he lied.
He was impeached on December 19, 1998.
He was acquitted of both charges by the Senate on February 12, 1999.

GEORGE W. BUSH

He was an American politician and businessman
The 43th President of the United States from 2001 to 2009
His father, George H. W. Bush, was the 41st President of the United States

OJ SIMPSON

Was a runningback in the NFL and played for the Bills and 49ers.
Accused of murdering Nichole B. Simpson & Ron Goldman.
Was found "Not Guilty" by the Court of Law.
Later wrote a book about how he commited the murder.

BARACK OBAMA

44th and current President of the United States
First African American President
He served his first term starting on January 20, 2009
He is currently serving his 2nd term.

SADDAM HUSSEIN

Was the president of Iraq
Given the key to the city of Detroit
Was hanged for crimes against humanity

9-11 AND WAR ON TERRORISM

And international military campaign that started after 9-11
The phrase "War on Terror" was first used by Georgor W. Bush
Its also known as the Global War on Terrorism

N.A.F.T.A.

North American Free-Trade Agreement
A trade agreemnet between America, Canada, and Mexico.
The agreement became official on January 1st 1994

DESERT STORM/GULF WAR

The Gulf War lasted from August 2 to February 28, 1991.
It was a war waged by coalition forces from 34 nations led by the U.S.
It was in a response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait.

PATRIOT ACT

An Act of Congress that was signed into law by Pres. George W. Bush
It was signed on October 26, 2001.
It punished terrorist acts in the U.S and aroumd the world
Enhanced law enforcement investigatory tools.

MONICA LEWINSKY

Former White House intern
Admitted to having an "inappropriate relationship" with Bill Clinton
It happened in 1995 and 1996

OKLAHOMA CITY FEDERAL BUILDING BOMBING

Was a domestic terrorist attack on the Alfred P. Murrah federal Building
The bomb was set inside of a truck
This bombing killed 168 peoplethe blast destroyed 324 buildings

STEROIDS IN SPORTS

In 2013, 12 players were suspended for 50 games for using steroids.
Alex Rodriguez was suspended for 211 games just recently this week.
In the NFL, steroids were a big issue during the late 1950's

People thought that it was the end of the world.
It happened in the 1960's and the late 1980's.

The internet first went public in 1989.
It was widely known or used until years after.
November 1999 was when it first became mainstream
