  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, biological science, physical science, or mathematics
  • Followed by at least 3 years of professional experience
  • Advanced degrees such as master's and doctorate's are advisable

  • Designers use math to calculate distance, speed, velocity, and safety
  • Astronauts are usually taking tests and using theories that include formulas
