Was born May 3 1469 in Florence, Italy . He was a diplomat, politician, historian, writer, and philosopher.
The most famous book by Machiavelli was The Prince, published in 1532.
Was the father of modern political theory.
A Machiavellian is a person who is seen slyly to manipulate a situation using shrewd political insight.
Pope Clement VIII condemned "The Prince" for its endorsement upon the rule of fear and deceit.

The book, The Prince,was based on the infamous Cesare Borgia and the Borgia family
Contains the belief that whoever has the most power has the right to rule,
To have authority over others, whether good or bad.
Therefore, the job of a political leader is to acquire ever more power.
Goodness and the right to rule aren't enough to warrant leadership.
