Helicopters were developed and built during the first half-century of flight, with the Focke-Wulf Fw 61 being the first operational helicopter in 1936.
The helicopter is a type of rotor craft.A rotorcraft or rotary-wing aircraft is a heavier-than-air flying machine that uses lift generated by wings.
The name came from the French and Greek language meaning Helix Spiral whirl and convection.
Hospital helicopters are used to bring people to the hospital when the are about to give birth and if they are severely injured.

Military helicopters are used to drop of troops in the area they need to be and take people back to camp and rescue them if needed.
Rescue helicopters are used if someone was lost in the woods are lost somewhere and they need a rescue team to find them and rescue them.

This concept helicopter design from AVX Aircraft features dual coaxial main rotors, while at the rear it has not one but two ducted fans to provide the aircraft's propulsion.
They want to find another metal that is still strong enough and lighter to go faster then today's helicopters so the lighter it is the faster it can go through the air.
There hoping in the future that they can get helicopters faster then a jet and try to break the sound barrier.
