LONGITUDINAL

A wave in which the particles of the medium move parallel to the motion

TRANVERSE

WAVES OF MOTION OF THE PARTICLES IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE MOTION

Reflection,Rarefaction,&diffraction.

  • Reflection-the bouncing back of a ray
  • Rarefaction-portion of a longitudinal wave
  • Diffraction-the bending of waves as they an edge

Interference

  • Constructive-any interference in which waves combine that the wave is bigger
  • Destructive-any interference in which waves combine so that the wave is smaller.
