HMONG DRESSING

• We wear the traditional white skirt
• We wear a black shirt with the skirt
• For a modern look we wear jeans
• We also wear t-shirts
• We dye our hair all sort of color

HMONG MARRIGE

• We wear traditional hmong clothes
• Drink beer or give beer to the groom
• We wear the modern wedding dress
• Dance with loved ones
• Goes on honeymoons

HMONG FUNERAL

• During the traditional funeral they play an instrument called "qeej"
• The traditional funeral takes three days
• During the modern funeral they sing
• They also don't play any drums or "qeej"
• They don't bow

HMONG RELIGION

• Traditional hmong believe in shamansim
• Shamans wear a red or black head piece when going to the other world
• Modern hmong people believe in christanity
• They don't do the eat 30 (tradition for the new year)
• They don't Set up a table for the "sprits"

HMONG HOLIDAYS

• Traditional hmongs wear traditional hmong clothes to the new year
• They "pob poj" meaning throwing a small ball to each other
• Modern hmongs wear more modern hmong clothes to the new year
• They also wear modern "american" clothes to the new year
• They also don't "pob poj"
