PYOTR LLYICH TCHAIKOVSKY'S EARLY LIFE

He was born May 7,1840
He died November 6,1893
When he was 5 he began to take piano lessons
At the age of 10 he began taking the imperials school of Jurisprudence
When he was 21 he decided to take music lessons at the Russian Musical Society

LATER LIFE

His first public performance was with Johann Strauss the Younger
The following year his first opera The Voyevoda
Also in 1874 his opera Vakula the Smith received harsh critical reviews
He was never married
He composed 169 pieces including symphonies,operas,ballet,concertos cantatas and songs

MOST FAMOUS

His most famous were the ballets Sleeping Beauty1890 and The Nutcracker1892
1812 overture was a well know song by Tchaikovsky
