PRESENTATION OUTLINE
People who have always been believers in the yeti will have their jaws dropped.
After a DNA test at Oxford, professor Bryan Sykes suggests the strange creature know as the yeti, is actually a descendant of an ancient polar bear.
Sykes took hair samples from Himalayan animals (known as yeties to the natives) and discovered the similarities between them and ancient polar bears.
Sykes explains how this could be a new species to the animal kingdom.
This "yeti" is a cross between an ancient polar bear and an ancient brown bear. This animal is not a relative to modern polar bears though.
