Apostrophes:
Use in contractions...
I won't go to sleep early because it's the weekend!
Quotation Marks:
Use them around dialogue (exact words people say).
The students shouted with joy, "I studied and got an A on my mug shot quiz!"
Comma with dialogue:
Use commas before and after phrases like "they said"
"I love fall," he said, "because I love hunting."
Comma in direct address:
Use a comma before or after someone's name when the sentence is said to that person.
Bob, please open the door.
Comma with FANBOYS
(for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so)
Don't use a comma with a FANBOYS when it is NOT joining 2 complete sentences
For vacation I would like to go to Hawaii and stay for 10 weeks. (no comma before "and")
Book titles are underlined
Have you read the book The Fault in Our Stars? (the title would be underlined, but this program won't let me)
Plurals:
Words that end in y change to ies
baby to babies
fly to flies
end punctuation:
use exclamation marks only for an exclamation
I love birthdays!
What a great party!
Using the right word:
to, too, two
to = preposition
I am going to the park.
too = also
I want some pie too.
two = 2
There are two slices of pizza.

Subordinating Conjunction
Subordinating conjunctions are NOT FANBOYS (for, and, not, but, or, yet, so)
They are words like:
because, since, although, while
I love English because mug shots are fun.
