DILL: IN A PICKLE

Throughout the story Dill takes place in many main events.

FIRST IMPRESSION

• When Dill meets Scout and Jem he feels a need
• to impress them. He starts braging about his
• various "talents".
• Such as, "I can read. You got anything that
• needs readin' I can do it." (1)

AT THE RADLEY'S

• Now that he's befriended Jem he feels
• he needs to prove himself. When
• their mission to find boo is unsuccessful
• he suggests they go around back.

THE LETTER

• Dill writes Scout excited about his new
• father, but he still doesn't forget his
• friends in Maycomb. "Dill concluded
• by saying he would marry me." ()
