HISTORY

  • AIDS was first clinically observed in 1981 in the United States
  • The cases were injecting drug users and homosexual men with no known cause of impaired immunity
  • Soon thereafter, an unexpected number of gay men developed a previously rare skin cancer
  • Htye did not have a name for the disease for it

SPREAD

  • Is transmitted primarily unprotected sexual intercourse
  • Including anal and oral sex
  • Bush meat practice
  • Breast milk

ORPHANS

  • Is a child whose parents are dead or have abandoned them permanently
  • Mostly aids create orphans
  • Th aids kill the parents
  • Wars also create orphans

ECONOMIC IMPACT

  • Reduces availability
  • The Increased mortality in this region will result in smaller skilled population labor force
  • This smaller labor force will be predominantly young people
  • With reduced knowledge and work experience leading to reduced productivity

  • They helped with AIDS
  • Can give you more life expectancy
  • There are several different types of drugs
  • They also help with HIV
