-add horseshoe strip halfway overlapping 1st HS strip
Step 8:
-add 3rd stirrup strip slightly fanned in from previous one(all 3 stirrups should be pretty evenly lined up on bottom of foot)
Step 9:

INJURIES
- Thumb spica is used for acute injuries like sprains and fractures of the thumb
- Ex- first metacarpal fractures
- Ex- injury to ulnar collateral ligament
SUPPLIES NEEDED
- Pre wrap

Step 3:
- tape base strips on wrist
Step 4:
-tear strip longitudinal in half
-put cancer strip over thumb joint/knuckle
-repeat 2x
Step 5:
-put cover ups over end of ribbon strips
INJURIES
- Used to support and reduce stress on elbow during physical activity
- Ex- Aids healing and prevents reoccurrence of MCL(medial collateral ligament) tear during high risk sports (throwing sports)
- Ex- LCL(lateral collateral ligament) tear
Step 1:
-have athlete slightly bend elbow
-pre wrap from mid fore arm to mid bicep
Step 2:
-add anchor strips on bottom and top of pre wrap(half on skin half on pre wrap)
Step 3:
-add 2nd anchor strips halfway overlapping 1st ones
Step 4:
-make fan out of 3 strips
-length of fan should be a little shorter than length of pre wrap to have an effect of support for elbow
Step 5:
-add cover up strips on ends of fan strips
INJURIES
- Can be used in the treatment of a total rupture of achilles tendon
- Also used for achilles tendinitis
Step 1:
-have athlete relax foot
-pre wrap from middle of foot to a little below bottom of calf muscle
Step 2:
-add anchor strips to top and bottom of pre wrap(half on skin half on pre wrap)
Step 3:
-add 2nd anchor strip to top, overlapping previous one
Step 4:
-apply strip of tape from bottom of foot anchor to calf anchor(apply a slight stretch)
-split the tape longitudinal half way down then wrap the split strips towards the front of the shin
Step 5:
-repeat previous step(overlap split strips)
Step 6:
-apply coverup strip over foot anchor
Step 7:
-apply coverup strip over calf anchor and split strips
INJURIES
- Used to support arch of foot
- Useful for plantar fasciitis
- Useful for posterior tibial tendon dysfunction
SUPPLIES NEEDED
- 1.5in tape
- Power flex or lightplast
- .5in tape
Step 1:
-put anchor strip right on beginning joints of the phalanges
Step 2:
-add anchor strip starting on the medial side of foot on the metatarsal region
-go all the way down, wrap around heel then go back up lateral side of foot
Step 3:
-split piece of tape longitudinal in half
-wrap from the metatarsal region near the big toe and place it around the heel before attaching at the origin behind the big toe
-repeat 4x
Step 4:
-add horizontal coverup strips halfway overlapping each other
Step 5:
-add coverup strip starting on the medial side of foot on the metatarsal region
-go all the way down, wrap around heel then go back up lateral side of foot
Step 6:
-wrap power flex all around foot and up to ankle bone
