HONDURAS

LOCATION

  • North America, the borders of water are Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua and its on the criban sea.

HISTORY

  • 1821- Honduras and four other provinces (Similar to states) declare independence from Spain and join the Mexican Empire.
  • 2003- Honduras, along with Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua and agrees to a free trade agreement with the united states.

PEOPLE/LIFESTYLE

  • There are 8,598,561people in Honduras
  • The boys play fútbol and the girls play basketball,volleyball and dance
  • The children in the country side enjoy playing marbles, card games and dice games.
  • Swimming, scuba diving and playing dominoes are popular in villages on the northern coast

CULTURE

  • Some people speak Spanish and Nahuati or Garifuna also English too.
  • Christmas
  • The day of child
  • They eat red beans(without or with soup), bananas and fish (or chicken if they have enough money
