The northern strategy was the "Anaconda Plan" which was to squeeze everything in between them and push forward to like the south

Bull run was the first battle in the civil war which was the beginning of a very long war

Antietam was the single bloodiest battle in American history, a huge turning point in the civil war. Which made Lincoln come out with the Emancipation Proclamation

The Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves in the north. But the slaves in the south anted to go to, so the slaves in the south tried to leave but couldnt because there president didn't agree with Lincoln.

Habeas Corpus is when you have the right to go to court to see why you are going to jail. Lincoln suspended it for awhile during the war.

Gettysburg is the single bloodiest battle and turning point because it block the southern plan and crippled them into there own town.

Appomattox courthouse is where lee and his team surrendered to the north because we invaded there towns and burned, took everything they had
