LI PO'S LIFE

  • Lived from 701-762
  • Lived in the Tang Dynasty
  • He belonged to the golden age of classical poetry
  • Li Po and Tu Fu were fellow poets who wrote poetry in similiar ways
  • He is also known Li Bai and he was on of the greatest poets who changed some ways of poetry!

LI PO'S POETRY

  • Over one thousand of his poems still exist
  • Some of his poems are "waking from drunkeness on a spring day"
  • "The hard road to shi"
  • "Alone and drinking under the moon"
  • He enjoyed to write about pleasure, nature and joy, but is poems had also had a darkness to it

LI PO'S POETRY CONTINUED

  • His style had playfulness, hyperbole and fantasy
  • His poetry also showcased his unorthodox veiw on life

LI PO'S BELIEFS

  • Li PO beliefs were of Daosim which his poetry reflected much of which was unorthodox in way.
  • His beliefs was most of his inspiration for his poetry such as when he wrote about nature
  • Most of his poems were of nature and that was a reflection of his religion.
