The albino pygmy hedgehog is nocturnal

The average lifespan of an albino pygmy hedgehog in captivity is 3-4 years. In the wild they can live to be 8-10 years old.

A full grown albino pygmy hedgehog can be 7-10 inches long.

Albino hedgehogs, have a shorter lifespan than other hedgehogs because their white quills make them easy for predators to see.

In the wild,albino hedgehogs eat things like snails, plants, small animals and insects.

To protect themselves from predators, like fox's, they roll themselves into a ball so the predator can only get to it's sharp quills.

Albino pygmy hedgehogs have about 5,000 spines.

Albino hedgehogs can carry about 500 fleas!

The reason albino hedgehogs are so white is because they have no pigment (color) in their bodies.
