PRESENTATION OUTLINE

R is for Rumble
The greasers and the Socs all meet and start fighting. Everyone knows why they want to fight. The only reason pony thinks he fights is for self defense. Which makes him feel like an outsider.

S is for Sunset
Cherry and pony talk about always watching sunsets. Cherry says she doesn't see them anymore. When they talk about the sunsets they are talking about the beauty in the world. Which cherry doesn't see anymore.

T is for Tough
Dally is tough. He doesn't feel any emotion. When Johnny dies dally blames it on himself, for not letting Johnny get tough. If Johnny would have been tough he wouldn't
have saved the kids and wouldn't have gotten hurt.

U is for Unarmed
When dally was in the spotlight and the cops told him to freeze he pulled out a gun. Pony knew that he didn't keep the gun loaded, he was unarmed. He still took it out so the cops would shoot him.

V is for Victory
The greasers beat the Socs in the rumble. It was somewhat a victory. Except all the greasers were injured, and Johnny felt sick.

W is for Worried
After the rumble dally went to see Johnny. He took pony along, they were both super worried about him. They just made in time to see him pass away. Pony worried that everything was his fault.

X is for Xenophobe
Pony used to be scared of the Socs when they would come around. Towards the end of the book he threatens them with a bottle. This shows he is not scared anymore and he is getting tough.

Y is for Young
Johnny was only 16 when he died. He told pony he was too young and he didn't experience everything he wanted to. After realizing he was gonna die he was okay with dying when he was only 16.

Z is for Zoo
Pony starts failing all his classes. His teacher tells him he could get extra credit. He jokes about writing about the zoo. He decides he needs to share his story.
