PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Island of Cicones
-At the island they beat some of there men, took plunder, enslaved women, Ody told them to come back but they didn't listen and they partied, their army came and attacked them.
Lotus Eaters
-At the island of the lotus eaters, Ody sends a few men to explore but they ate the flower and did not want to leave so Ody had to save them.
Cyclops
-Ody and his men want to see cyclops so they go in the cave where several of his men are eaten but then Ody stabs him in the eye and gets out.
Island of Aeolus
-Aeolus, god of the winds gives Ody a bag of bad winds to get him home safely. His crew disobeys orders and opens the bag.
Laesrrygonians
-This is the land of the gigantic cannibals where all the ships but one are destroyed.
Island of Circe
-Ody and his men find out what is going to happen to them.
Land of the Dead
-Ody goes to the land of the dead to find out his destiny and Teiresias tells him his destiny and gives him advice.
Island of Circe(2nd Time)
-Receives warning about 3 obstacles that he is about to face.
Sirens
-Beauties that put the men in a daze so they can kill themselves and everybody. Men must fill ears with beeswax and Ody must be tied to mast.
Scylla and Charybdis
-Scylla is a 6 headed monster who will eat 6 men. Charybdis is a large whirlpool that will kill all the men and destroy the ship.
Sun God (Helios)
-Ody tells his men not to eat the cattle but they do and they are killed as punishment from Helios. Ody falls asleep and floats away.
Calypso's Island
-Ody goes to calypso island to stay there for 7 years until Hermes tells her to let him go and she promises him a raft.
Land of the Phaecians
-He is found by the daughter of Allcinous, he is treated well at the banquet he tells them who he is and his journey
