The working conditions in the factories were very poor. People were forced to work at high paces and for many many hours. They didn't get as much money as they should have, and they would get injured all the time and not be paid compensation.…

Corporate Leaders
The leaders of the companies had monopolies and they were very money hungry and were always looking for ways to line their pockets with money. There were no laws against their monopolies, so a company could be the only companies in a state or country that provided that one good that they made. The leaders treated their workers badly by making them working for hours on in with low pay, and no breaks. The leaders of this age were the British, France, Germany, Russia, Japan.
Why go to the city
Cities were where the jobs were and lots of them. Also, you got get goods faster because you were right there where the stores were. Also, jobs that were industrial were taking over and they were a thing of the future, so why not move to the city where you can get a job that will make more.
Women
Women used to work like men doing really labor intensive jobs but then this changed to domestic servitude which where jobs like clerical jobs and maids and other less labor intensive jobs. But when they got married they had to stay home with the kids unless they had someone to watch the kids while they were at work.
Children
Children used to do hard jobs like chimney sweeps where caused lung disease. People started to see that child labor was wrong and so parliament passed a law that forbid it.
New social classes

- working class the people who work in factors and such
- upper is military aristocrats, and company leaders
- middle class are the physicians, teachers, and enigneers
Technological Advances
The loom was tremendously improved on from going from a normal loom to a one powered by a steam engine. Also, James Watt invented the steam engine and the locomotive.

- 20% in rural area
- 80% were in urban places
Trade unions
They provided the workers in the union with better working conditions.
