PRESENTATION OUTLINE
THE JOURNEY
- Came to buffalo in '04 with my mom, my brother and sister.
- I've became the way I am today because of the difficult road I was presented.

JOURNEY CONTINUE
- Start as a freshman trying to acclimate yourself with your surroundings
- Unfamiliar territory
- Go to school, play basketball, hang with friend= everything is fine
- Same thing happens the next 2 years until....

PEOPLE
- Working hands on with people I've never met mainly refugees from other countries
- truly an awesome experience I'd think because...
- Comfort zone
- Felt uncomfortable just like that of freshman year

MATURATION
- helped me mature because I worked with many people over the summer who were different than I am
- Whether it was driving around the city picking up furnitures, apparels I got to bond with new people
- I don't believe maturation occurs overnight but because of me constantly being with new people and making new relationship it opened me up to new things

While maturation was one of the big things that should remarkable signs growth as a young man and a Canisius gentleman it's not the only aspect in which I made progress

Because of my growth I decided to work at MAP-non profit organization
Working to fight the inequality in food around the area
All of this happened this last summer and am trying to take part in this again this upcoming summer.
MIDSET
- mindset on how I look at community service changed
- Culturally I've become aware and respecting of people's beliefs
- I Learned to respect everyone for who they are in order for me to work along or help them
- I can contribute in many ways because there is work always to be done....
- Why because social Inequality is everywhere (income, gender, beliefs, race and etc.)

And I want to be fighting this through my community service not just today but years to come.
I'm more willing now to go and participate in community service because of my change in attitude
