The coats of arms are those of the oldest Spanish
kingdoms. The red and yellow colors are also
representative of these kingdoms. The pillars
depicted are the Pillars of Hercules, and the
motto refers to the Spanish lands beyond Europe.

RECENT EVENTS
Spanish Princess Christina was taken to court on the
7th for a hearing to help determine whether she and
her husband illegally used company funds for personal
expenses. She is the first Spanish royal to face questioning
in court since the monarchy was restored in 1975
