• The Greek language along with Latin was widely used across Rome.

THE LIGHT HOUSE

• Its one of the 7 wonders of the world.
• It was build by Sostratus of Cndus.
• It was finished in about 280 BCE.
• It has been said to have been more than 350ft high; the only taller man-made structure at this time would have been the pyramids of Giza.

CATAPULT

• Dionysius the elder of Syracuse, was the inventor of the catapult.
• It was invented in about 400 BCE.
• It became a key weapon in warefare.

CRANE

• It was invented by the Ancient Greeks .
• It was invented in the late 6th century BC.
• It was mainly used for heavy loads.

ALARM CLOCK

• It was created by Levi Hutchins, of New Hampshire in the United States.
• It was invented in 1787.
• When he first invented it he only used it for himself.

AUTOMATIC DOOR

• Heron of Alexandria created the Automatic door.
• He created a hydraulic system with steam power for it to automatically open doors.
• He used it for the Alexandrian temple.
