ARTICLE II SECTION 1.4

  • Congress determines the time and day electors are chosen.

  • The President has to be born in the United States, at least 35 years old, and a resident of the U.S. for 14 years.

  • Congress can decide who takes the Presidents place if something happens to the President and Vice President.

  • The Presidents salary of 200,000 dollars can not be changed during the term.

  • The chief of justice of the U.S. administers the oath.

ARTICLE II 2.1

  • The President is Commander and Chief of the armed forces.

CLAUSE 2.2

  • The President has the sole power to make treaties. There has to be 2/3 vote in the senate to become effective. The President can also make foreign agreements without senate consent.

CLAUSE 2.3

  • When the senate is not in session the President can call a recess appointment.

ARTICLE II 3.1

  • The President delivers a State of the Union address after the body convenes each year. Then the federal budget and economic report follows.

  • The Vice President and President can be impeached for treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

ARTICLE III 1.1

  • The judicial power shall be vested in one Supreme Court and will hear and decide cases.

CLAUSE 2.1

  • Jurisdiction of the federal courts

CLAUSE 2.2

  • After court cases are heard and a decision made it can be appealed if it is in a lower court.

CLAUSE 2.3

  • Every person has a right to trial by jury.
