In this chapter the boys started to change in many different ways. They turned against each other and split up.

A beast came into the chapter and Ralph became scared so Jack called him a coward for being scared of the beast, and they fought and Jack left, with most of the boys following him.

Ralph and piggy were left by themselves and it started to become hard because they didn't have enough people to do what they needed to do.

Jack tried going back to Ralph's side of the island to steal his fire. And piggy thought that they were after meat.

Jack said that he was going to be chief and they started to hunt for food and he became brave, because he finally had the guts to kill something

After he killed the pig, he left the head on a stick for the beast, and flies started to come around the pigs head.

When Jack and the boys left Simon went back to look for something, the pigs head came to life. And he warned him that he would get angry.

In this chapter things didn't go the way Ralph wanted because The Lord of the flies.
