THE GREAT COMPROMISE

  • Also known as the Connecticut Compromise.
  • It was an agreement created at the Continental Convention in 1787.
  • Each state received equal representation when choosing leaders.

THREE-FIFTHS COMPROMISE

  • Was an agreement between the southern/northern delegates.
  • Each slave in the south counted as 3/5 of a vote.
  • It was a way of helping the south compete with the north.
