CREATE AN ACCOUNT
You may have each student create an account if they have an email address. Otherwise you can create an account that anyone can use. Keep in mind that this would allow anyone with access to that account to edit or delete slides.
CHOOSE A THEME
CHANGES THE FONT, SIZE AND COLOR FOR ALL SLIDES
The free themes are usually plenty for any project. Sometimes they will offer the paid apps for free so check their website.
ADD SLIDES
TAP + TO ADD AS MANY SLIDES AS NEEDED
ADD TEXT
CHOOSE SIMPLE TEXT, BULLETS, NUMBERS OR PARAGRAPH
There is a limited amount of room and the size of the font will adjust as you type. Encourage students to use short statements and bullets for larger chunks of text.

CHOOSE YOUR BACKGROUND
- Use key words to search images
- Choose from your camera roll
- Take a picture
- Make it a solid color
- Save pictures to a list of favorites
There is also a running history of all the pictures you've clicked on that you can go back to if you had a picture you liked and can't find. Also don't forget you can use screen shots as backgrounds.

The app does a search based on key words from your text. You can add a word and search for anything you want. You can also scale the size of pictures to a small degree.
ADD SIMPLE BAR OR PIE GRAPHS
You can drag the units to the amount you want. Tap the + to add more bars or another section of the pie. You can also edit the labels and units.
PLACE TEXT AROUND PICTURE FOR BEST EMPHASIS
Try changing the theme if your words still cover up important information after you change the layout.
ADD MORE DETAILS
YOU CAN ADD NOTES OR LINKS TO MORE INFORMATION
You can make theses public for all to see or private for you to use while presenting. If you turn the iPad vertically your private notes will show beneath your Deck.

DELETE OR MOVE SLIDES
HOLD DOWN SLIDE TO MOVE/ TAP GEAR TO DELETE
Once a slide is deleted it is gone. Haiku deck saves as you go and is not able to go back once you delete it.
SHARE YOUR WORK
PUBLISH ONLINE, EMAIL OR LINK TO SOCIAL MEDIA
You can make your work private, share with friends or publish for everyone. You also choose the category it belongs in to help people search for it. There is a huge gallery of completed decks that you can use. You can also easily link it to Facebook and Twitter or download it into PowerPoint for more options.
