• 1828, Ányos Jedlik invented an early type of electric motor, and created a small model car powered by it.

Karl Benz

• January 29, 1886, Karl Benz received the first patent for an automobile
• Later co-founded Mercedes Benz

Henry Ford

• Introduced the first mass produced automobile, the Ford Model T
• Created the assembly line
• Founded the Ford Motor Company

• Modern companies such as Ford, Toyota, and Nissan continue to come up with new innovations for their automobiles
