Minnesota's climate is warm in the summer cold in the winter with lots of snow. The average temperature in January is 2*F. 15* F in the south and the north an average of 56*F. The average winter high is 14* F with a low average*.of -8* F In January. Minneapolis and St. Paul have an average temperature 23* F and a low of 6* F. Minnesota also has warm summers to so its all not so bad ( only if you go in the summer* ). The twin cities have a summer average temperature of 74* F. that is why some people say that Minnesota has two seasons swat for the bugs and shovel for the snow.

FUN FACTS
1. The lowest temperature ever recorded was on February 9th 1899 and February 16th 1903 in Leach Lake dam and Pokegam falls with a record of -59* F.
2. Some people call Minnesota the nation's ice box
3. The highest temperature ever recorded was on July 6th 1938 and July 29th 1917 in Morhead and Beardale.
4. The great drought in 1988 that caused farmers to not grow crops and Minhaha falls to dry out.
5. Red River falls get over flowed in the spring most of the time.
